Rebecca Spence joined the LCWater team in the winter of 2020. Rebecca was born in Michigan, grew up in Texas, went to college in Louisiana, and has called Colorado home since 2015. Rebecca earned her J.D. from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law where she served as a board member for both the Water Law Review and the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Society. During law school Rebecca most notably interned with the Colorado Water Trust, National Young Farmers Coalition, and Federal Highway Administration. Additionally, Rebecca served as a Co-Director of Environmental Law and Policy for the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Blockchain for Sustainable Development, and was asked to be part of the first Transatlantic University Collaboration in Climate Change and Energy Law funded by the European Union. Each of these experiences allowed Rebecca to refine her knowledge and skills surrounding water rights issues in the West. Most recently, Rebecca worked as an Associate Corporate Counsel at PanTheryx, Inc., a biotech company focused on bovine colostrum-based health solutions, and as an Associate Attorney for The Rodman Law Group, focusing on cannabis, hemp, CBD, and agricultural law.
